Reasons Why You Should Plant Flowers

They’re not just pretty to look at. Flowers are also PLANTS, which means more oxygen in the environment. That can mean a lot if you’re living in the city. With all the smoke and gas in cities, you rarely get to see beautiful plants and trees when you go to work and back. Plus, they add a really marvellous touch to your front lawn and backyard.

Gardening isn’t half-bad either. If you’re ever bored and you got sick of being on your phone too much, gardening provides a healthy distraction amazing time-wasting abilities.

Plus, it doesn’t hurt to get out of your house and do some chores that are actually fun.

Visual appeal

This is the top reason why planting flowers is a good idea. They are colourful and add so much visual appeal to the entire house. People tend to stop and stare at colours, even more so if they’re coming from flowers. If you know which flowers to get and then plant, you would have a nice combination and an array of blooms that would help your house look so much better. Add in a typical white picket fence and you’ve got yourself a really gorgeous house.

Enhanced mood

There is a study that proved flowers help enhance people’s mood. It’s why that in hospitals, there is always a vase of colourful flowers next to the patient to help improve their moods, especially with people diagnosed with depression. Planting a bunch in your yard can improve the friendliness in the neighbourhood too. Conversations will be a lot nicer because of the presence of the flowers and whenever you’re feeling down, you can just go down to your garden and relax while sitting on your flower bed.

Good exercise

Gardening is a great way to exercise, for those who aren’t willing to go running or taking a trip to the gym. This is productive, since you’re actually doing some chores. Gardening and planting some new flowers while simultaneously making sure your older ones are still alive and pretty is wonderful exercise. There is more effort put in gardening than you would think. For instance, crouching down for that look and digging through the dirt and being in the sun for too long? That effort. Productive in both ways.

Cleaner air

As we say earlier, flowers are plants. They give us oxygen and the more plants the better. Since we all know that we exhale so much carbon dioxide (and then the gasses we pass too) it’s a great idea to have flowers nearby to take our carbon dioxide and replace it with more oxygen. That’s how you get cleaner air. And they do it all the time too, with no prompt, just like we do. They breathe and so do we. It’s a wonderful deal or exchange.
